About Me
Faith Fobeneh is the owner and sole instructor of Fobeneh Music Studio, where she is dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels discover their musical potential through high-quality voice and piano instruction. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Houston Christian University (2020) and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Kentucky (2022). In addition to operating her private studio, Faith serves as a Professor of Music at Lone Star College–Houston North, where she teaches Music Appreciation and inspires students to develop a deeper understanding of music's history, cultural significance, and artistic value.
With over seven years of teaching experience, Faith has worked with a diverse range of students, from age 5 to 75. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, creativity, confidence-building, and a lifelong appreciation for music. She tailors lessons to each student's individual goals, whether they are preparing for auditions, school performances, competitions, college music programs, or simply pursuing music for personal enrichment.
As a voice instructor, Faith teaches a wide variety of musical styles, including Classical, Musical Theatre, Pop, R&B, Gospel, Contemporary Christian, and more. Her students have earned leading roles in school musical productions, successfully auditioned for honor choirs, and been selected for prestigious ensembles such as Texas All-State Choirs. She is passionate about helping singers develop healthy vocal technique, artistic expression, confidence, and performance skills that will serve them both on and off the stage.
Faith also specializes in piano instruction, guiding students through the development of strong technical foundations, music-reading skills, music theory knowledge, and expressive musicianship. Her piano curriculum combines traditional pedagogy with engaging repertoire, helping students build both confidence and a genuine love for music.
Faith's own musical journey began at a young age singing gospel music and playing piano in her parents' church. Her passion for music led her to pursue formal vocal training as an operatic soprano during her undergraduate studies at Houston Christian University. Since then, she has established herself as both an accomplished performer and educator.
Her operatic roles include the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Mimì and Musetta in La Bohème, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Plaintiff in Trial by Jury, and La Bergère Louis XV in L'Enfant et les Sortilèges. In Summer 2025, she served as a Studio Artist with Opera San Antonio, further refining her artistry alongside distinguished professionals in the opera industry.
Faith has also performed internationally through prestigious summer programs, including the Vienna Summer Music Festival in Vienna, Austria, and the International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia in Morelia, Mexico. In 2020, she was featured in the Generation Next Recital hosted by renowned operatic soprano Angel Blue. In 2019, she won First Place in the Houston Gilbert and Sullivan Inaugural Vocal Scholarship Competition, recognizing her exceptional vocal talent and dedication to her craft.
Today, Faith combines her experiences as a performer, professor, and private instructor to provide students with a comprehensive and inspiring musical education. Whether working with a beginner taking their first lesson or an advanced student pursuing ambitious performance goals, she is committed to fostering musical excellence, confidence, discipline, and joy. Through Fobeneh Music Studio, Faith strives to create a welcoming environment where students can grow as musicians, performers, and individuals while developing a lifelong love for music.
