Studio Policies

At Fobeneh Music Studio, our policies are designed to create a positive, organized, and supportive learning environment for every student. Please review the information below before enrolling.

Scheduling

Private lessons are offered on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday by appointment. Lessons are available in person at our Houston studio or online.

Students are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to ensure lessons begin on time.

Tuition & Payments

  • Tuition is due before lessons begin to reserve your scheduled lesson time.
  • Tuition packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Group classes require payment in full before the program begins.
  • Accepted payment methods include Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, and major credit/debit cards (where applicable).

Cancellation & Make-Up Lessons

We understand that unexpected situations can arise.

  • A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to reschedule a lesson.
  • Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, missed without notice, or forgotten are not eligible for a make-up lesson or refund.
  • Each lesson may only be rescheduled once.
  • Lessons that are already make-up or rescheduled lessons are not eligible for additional rescheduling.

Group Classes

Group class registration is required before the program begins.

Because each class has limited enrollment:

  • Registration fees are non-refundable.
  • Program tuition is non-refundable once registration is complete.
  • Students are expected to attend each class consistently to receive the greatest benefit from the program.

Recitals & Performances

Performance opportunities are an important part of the learning experience.

When participating in a recital or studio performance, students are expected to:

  • Attend rehearsals when required.
  • Arrive on time and prepared.
  • Dress according to the recital guidelines provided before the event.

Applicable recital fees will be communicated before registration.

Student Expectations

Students are expected to:

  • Arrive on time and ready to learn.
  • Bring any required music or materials.
  • Practice consistently between lessons.
  • Treat instructors, fellow students, and studio property with respect.

Parent Expectations

Parents of younger students are encouraged to support consistent practice at home and maintain open communication regarding scheduling or concerns.

Studio Closures

The studio may close for major holidays, severe weather, or emergencies. Whenever possible, advance notice will be provided, and affected lessons will be rescheduled.

Communication

If you have questions about lessons, scheduling, or your student's progress, please don't hesitate to reach out. We strive to respond to messages as quickly as possible during business hours.

Agreement

Enrollment at Fobeneh Music Studio signifies that students and parents have read, understood, and agree to abide by these studio policies.

We look forward to helping every student grow in confidence, musicianship, and a lifelong love of music.
